‘I saw Gonzalez Torres’s candy towers several years ago at Carlos & Rosa de la Cruz collection in Miami. People having “a taste” at the artwork, the interaction between the public and the object, the constant alteration of its original form, etc. It made sense at the time. I saw them again last year.Today those towers have lost meaning, they lack substance to me. Needless to say the vacuous works of Damien Hirst…those canvases are so plain stupid and sterile…’
