‘If anyone does get a chance to visit the exhibition, you should take 10 minutes to look at the Frick Garden.
It is one of my favourite Russell Page gardens, which has an overall classical french feeling to it. In the summer the walls of the garden are covered with wisteria, clematis, flowering quince and climbing roses.
Russell Page used one of his favourite devices for enlivening a dull landscape, he built a large rectangular pool in the centre of the garden to mirror the sky, creating an oasis of green serenity amidst the bustle and chaos of New York City’
