OUR COLUMNIST AVILA DISCUSSES GABRIEL COXHEAD’S VIEW OF JAKI IRVINE’S VIDEO INSTALLATION:

‘Ah…! The decorative aspects of poverty by Time’s Out cockhead Gabriel Coxhead…!!! “…while the transformation of their daily routines into a musical score seems to ennoble them in some sense, at the same time it also indicates their lack of agency” Agency or urgency Mr. Coxhead…? Whom now a days wants to revive the fact that the origin of poverty tents to be poorly represented in history… particularly if the misrepresentation is in favor of superfluous sentimentalism directed to express with emotion the obvious and the powerful feelings of “limited possibilities” without appealing to reason…? Who wants to show that for example… in the last few years Ireland got ready of a good part of its population sending it to a possible theater of misery and unhappiness following the decision of third countries, when we can watch some guys in Mexico making a dismissing living selling bananas…? Or… is that Mr. Coxhead wants our heads in a tray as well as our asses in a stool…?’
