READER HH REACTS TO THIS WEEK’S ‘THE PILL’ THE FOLLOWING WAY:

‘hey R…a longer comment …….thinking of the more than the ‘no one cares’ is that it is easier to ignore what we know we care for, due to fears of the repercussion or because it is so far away from us that it is automatically erased from our heads… we believe our own lies to make us feel good about the decision taken… here falls Marina Abramowitch…and the rest… in the transformation of art as an utilitarian tool of repression, no longer of freedom, ‘it is the greatest happiness of the greatest number that is the measure of right and wrong’ Bentham said, and we have seen a reduction on ethics all around us…hedonism and despotic individualism seems quite fit for a lot that happens in the world of art and politics … I am embarrassed by the masses assuming humanism through a couple of tears shared over a pathetic exhibition or biennale emotive presentation every now and again, and once they left their new temple where they have already been absolved of their wrongdoings, return to to the real world changing nothing…’
