I have never seen something as misogynist — since Jeff Koons’ and Cicciolina, which is an obvious “inspiration” for this guy… Romain Mader’s photograph of his nuptials to Ekaterina is the cover of the show’s catalog. Here he tells about how this photo came about… I would like to hear Mr Baker discuss this image, because his choices of Cindy Sherman, Amalia Ullman, or other more renown artists is justified in very obvious and bleak terms.

The camera role is clear… it is there to make these images be seen, reproduced, sold, circulate, etc. “Performance” is really something this show does not really interrogate… seems like a given for Baker… strategies of posing, self-presentation, staging, framing, etc. ALL ends up being a “performance.”
